A rare heirloom treasure, Luther Hill Sweet Corn has delighted gardeners and farmers for over a century. Developed in 1902 by Luther Hill of Andover Township, New Jersey, this variety became the most popular sweet corn in parts of the state for more than 50 years. It is also one of the parent varieties of the legendary Silver Queen, giving it a special place in the history of American sweet corn breeding.

This open-pollinated gem produces multiple miniature 12-row ears, 3–6 inches long, on modest 4-foot stalks. Unique among heirlooms, its suckers often yield good ears, meaning widely spaced plants can produce up to four ears per stalk—a rarity in the world of sweet corn. But the real magic is in the taste: Luther Hill is often hailed as the sweetest OP corn around, offering an old-fashioned, rich, and pure corn flavor untouched by modern hybrids.
